When avant-garde performance artist Lisa decided to write her mother Ann into her latest play, she went a step too far. Now the stage is set for a riveting mother-daughter showdown, as her well planned show collapses into an explosion of riotous comedy and heartbreaking home truths.
Following a critically acclaimed season, Well will be the first show to transfer to the West End from Trafalgar Studio 2, fast becoming a hotbed for new and exciting theatre, playing for a strictly limited run at the West End's prestigious Apollo Theatre.
Well stars Academy Award nominee Sarah Miles (Ryan's Daughter), Natalie Casey (Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps) and Oliver Chris (Green Wing, The Office) giving lauded performances in this intimate, warm hearted an uncontrollably funny new comedy.
Every Thursday, Friday evening and Saturday (post matinee), audiences of Well are invited to join us for a special half-hour sneak preview of Smiles by Sarah Miles. In this one-woman performance, Sarah Miles shares her own life-tale; a journey where love and infinity finally eclipse fear and finality. Along the way she celebrates some of England's greats and through them paints an inspiring picture of England. The running time is approximately 30 minutes and audience members should remain in their seats after the performance of Well if they would like to watch.
