Storm in a Flower Vase description
From the producers and writer of the 2012 West End hit Bette and Joan comes Anton Burge's brand new play, making its premiere at the Arts Theatre.
Iconic 1930s floral designer and cookery writer Constance Spry remains a household name to this day. A pioneer for working women, Constance ran a successful business as the florist of choice for the highest of high society, designing displays for royal weddings and the Queen's coronation as well as creating the dish 'Coronation Chicken'.
Spry played a leading role in London society during the '30s, but beneath the image of a highly respected business woman lay a different story: one of marital discord, affairs and heartache. Storm in a Flower Vase tells this story, in an intimate expose of a complicated, driven and profoundly unconventional soul.
