Encounters: Performers on Performance - Tim Minchin description

Australian musical comedian, actor and Matilda composer Tim Minchin is the latest subject of Encounters, a unique series of one on one conversations with high profile performers, talking personally, candidly and entertainingly about their lives and art. The series takes place over twelve fortnightly Monday evenings with interviews conducted by Fiona Lindsay.

In an age of celebrity driven culture, Encounters brings genuine talents and their unique star quality to the stage to share their stories with an audience. Each guest is encouraged to reveal aspects of themselves that surprise, delight and inform, leaving you enriched and entertained.

Musician, composer, songwriter, actor, comedian and writer Tim Minchin has been performing his unique brand of musical comedy in front of appropriately excitable and ever- growing audiences since 2005.

Working with the RSC, Tim wrote the music for Matilda The Musical, which took the West End by storm in 2011 and won a record-breaking seven Laurence Olivier Awards.
